Amanda Nunes uses both the Hypervolt Go and Hypervolt Plus massage guns to help her recover from the intense workouts and fights in the UFC. The current women’s Bantamweight and Featherweight Champion was also spotted wearing the Venom Back during training sessions.
“It’s extremely valuable for UFC athletes to now have full access to Hyperice technology for them to perform at the highest level,” the Brazilian explained when Hyperice became the Official Recovery Technology Partner of the UFC. “I use Hyperice technology daily as part of training, and have for years to compete at my best.”
In the statement about the new partnership with the UFC, the California-based company also announced that Nunes would become their latest brand ambassador. She was later joined in this role by Strawweight Champion Zhang Weili. Lightweight Dustin Poirier has a similar partnership with Therabody.
Nunes is the first woman in UFC history to hold a title in two divisions. She also became the only fighter in the promotion’s history to defend two titles while actively holding them when she defeated Felicia Spencer at UFC 250.
The Lioness is widely regarded as the greatest female MMA artist of all time. She has also been lucky in her private life: Her spouse and fellow UFC fighter Nina Ansaroff gave birth to the couple’s first child in September 2020.
About Amanda Nunes
Amanda Lourenço Nunes was born in Pojuca, Bahia, Brazil on May 30, 1988. After stints with Strikeforce and Invicta FC, Nunes made her debut in the UFC in 2013 when she defeated Sheila Gaff at UFC 163 via TKO and has been dominating the promotion ever since.
She is the reigning champion of the women’s Bantamweight and Featherweight divisions, becoming only the third fighter in UFC history after Conor McGregor and Daniel Cormier to hold titles in two weight classes at the same time. Unsurprisingly, Nunes is considered the greatest female MMA artist of all time.
