The Boston Bruins use the Theragun PRO massage gun, the Wave Roller smart vibrating foam roller, and the RecoveryAir PRO pneumatic compression boots to help prevent injuries, improve recovery, and maximize player performance.
“We are extremely excited to have Therabody as the official recovery partner of the Boston Bruins,” said Bruins Director of Performance and Rehabilitation, Dr. Paul Whissel.
“Their state-of-the-art percussive therapy and pneumatic compression technology will provide our athletes the best tools on the market to rejuvenate their bodies, which is critical to performance and overall wellness.”
As the exclusive percussive therapy and pneumatic compression therapy partner of the Bruins, the company will install a co-branded Theragun Recovery Station in the Bruins Warrior Ice Arena practice facility to provide players and trainers premium access to the devices.
“Hockey is known for being one of the most physically demanding contact-sports, making effective training and recovery that much more important,” remarks Dr. Jason Wersland, Founder and Chief Wellness Officer of Therabody.
“The Boston Bruins are recognized for their agility and strength on the ice, and we’re honored to be integrating our devices and research into their wellness routine. I’m looking forward to not only helping them optimize their skills on the ice, but ensuring that they’re effectively taking care of themselves while off of the ice.”

Therabody would later also become the Official Recovery Partner of the Dallas Stars and the New York Rangers, respectively. Athlete ambassadors for the brand include Johnny Gaudreau from the Calgary Flames and Bo Horvat from the Vancouver Canucks.
About the Boston Bruins
Founded in 1924, the Boston Bruins became the first US-American team to compete in the National Hockey League (NHL) which up to this point consisted only of Canadian teams. Being one of the oldest active franchises, they are a part of the Original Six.
With 26 division titles, five conference titles, and six Stanley Cups, the Bruins are one of the most successful teams in the league. Their last championship came in 2011 when they managed to defeat the top-seeded Vancouver Canucks in seven games.
