Competing in the Bundesliga, DFB Pokal, UEFA Champions League, and often also representing their respective national teams, Bayern Munich players find themselves on the field constantly, with little time to rest between matches.

To help enhance recovery and performance, the club started to integrate Therabody devices including the Theragun PRO into the personalized training, recovery, and injury prevention protocols of each player in early 2021.

“It is always our top priority to explore avenues to help our players achieve a competitive edge,” commented Jörg Wacker, Board Member for Internationalization and Strategy at FC Bayern.

“Therabody is a leader in innovative wellness solutions and the ideal partner to enhance the health and wellbeing of our players. We look forward to this collaboration, which will further support our sporting department,” Wacker added.

Official Recovery Technology Partner of FC Bayern

Said collaboration will see Therabody become FC Bayern’s Official Recovery Technology partner in the North America, China, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland regions. The Los Angeles, California-based company has similar deals with Real Madrid, Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal FC, and AC Milan.

“FC Bayern Munich has achieved incredible respect and success in the world of professional football,” said Dr. Jason Wersland, Therabody Founder and Chief Wellness Officer, during the announcement of the partnership.

“We’re thrilled that the club has selected us to not only improve the performance of its players, but to integrate our industry-leading technologies and education to optimize wellness and recovery for the entire FC Bayern Munich community.”
