Mark Wahlberg uses the Power Plate Pulse massage gun to help him recover from his intense weight training sessions at F45 and the extremely busy life he leads as a father, actor, producer, and businessman.
Known for his dedication to fitness training, Wahlberg had been using the whole body vibration equipment from Power Plate for 15 years before he became both an investor in the parent company Performance Health Systems and a brand ambassador for Power Plate in late April 2021.
“The fact that Power Plate has been relatively unknown for so long surprised me,” Boston-born Wahlberg said when asked about the partnership. “I’ve been a satisfied customer for over a decade, so I decided to get involved in spreading awareness about their game-changing products.”
As part of the deal, Wahlberg will not only help raise awareness of the brand worldwide but also act as an active consultant for ongoing strategy, product and programming development. Lee Hillman, CEO of Performance Health Systems, could not be more excited to have him on board.
“It’s not often you have the opportunity to align with an individual who can impact every facet of a business, from personal investment and business strategy, to increasing brand awareness and credibility, yet that’s exactly what Mark brings to Power Plate. He’s a rare individual whose voice resonates with consumers on a truly global level,” Hillman explained.
“Over the years, Power Plate and vibration training has been unequivocally validated by medical, academic and exercise science, and yet it remains a bit of a mystery to too many people. We believe Mark can play an invaluable role in changing that, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have him on board.”
For Wahlberg, the investment in the company behind the Power Plate brand is the latest addition to his growing portfolio of fitness-oriented brands. He is also a shareholder in fitness franchise F45 Training, natural nutrition company Performance-Inspired, and sports utility gear brand Municipal.
