“Therabody is a world leader in recovery technology, and we are thrilled that the Rangers training staff will have their therapy devices on-hand whenever needed,” said Ron Skotarczak, Executive Vice President for Marketing Partnerships at Madison Square Garden Entertainment Corp.
The Theragun PRO will be used to help the players optimize their performance and whole-body wellness before, during, and after games, while the RecoveryAir PRO will allow them to decrease inflammation and increase blood flow in the legs and feet.
Dr. Jason Wersland, Founder and Chief Wellness Officer at Therabody, welcomed the opportunity to work with one of the oldest franchises of the NHL. “The New York Rangers heritage runs deep, and we are thrilled to partner with such a storied hockey organization,” he stated.
“Our products, paired with the Rangers athletic training and strength & conditioning staff will not only help the Rangers recover faster, but also help enhance players’ strength and performance.” Therabody also works with the Boston Bruins, the Dallas Stars, Johnny Gaudreau, and Bo Horvat.
About the New York Rangers
Founded in 1926, the New York Rangers compete in the Metropolitan Division in the Eastern Conference of the National Hockey League (NHL). A part of the Original Six, they are among the oldest still active franchises in the league.
Despite a total of seven division championships, two conference championships, and four Stanley Cups, the Rangers have enjoyed limited success in recent years and have tasked former captain and now General Manager Chris Drury to lead the franchise to its first title since 1994.
