The Seattle Seahawks use the Hypervolt Plus massage gun and other recovery technology devices and tools provided by Hyperice to optimize the team’s performance and extend their players’ careers.
Well known around the league for their analytical and data-driven approach to the game, the Seahawks were one of the first NFL franchises to legitimize the use of technology and data to analyze players’ readiness by establishing a sports science department. Teaming up with Hyperice is the next step in their mission.
The announcement of the partnership with the Seattle Seahawks came just one day after Irvine, California-based company reached a similar deal with the Kansas City Chiefs. A few weeks prior, Hyperice had already become the Official Recovery Technolgy Partner of the NFL. In 2021, the company would also announce a partnership with the Dallas Cowboys.
Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, linebacker Bobby Wagner, and wide receiver DK Metcalf have individual agreements with Hyperice competitor Therabody and might therefore use other recovery devices, especially outside of games and the official training facilities.

About the Seattle Seahawks
The Seattle Seahawks joined the NFL as an extension team in 1976. A part of the American Football Conference from 1977 to 2001 and the National Football Conference since 2002, the Seahawks are the only team to have played in both the AFC and NFC conference championships.
They have reached the Super Bowl three times in their history and won their first championship by defeating the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XLVIII thanks to two touchdown passes from quarterback Russell Wilson and an MVP performance by linebacker Malcolm Smith.
The Seahawks are famous for their fanbase, which has twice set the record for the loudest crowd noise at a sporting event. Being the only NFL franchise in the Pacific Northwest region of North America, the Seahawks attract support from a wide geographical area.
