Comparison: TimTam Power Massager vs Power Massager Pro

Amplitude

The TimTam Power Massager Pro takes the early lead in our competition with an impressive stroke length of 20 mm, while the All New Power Massager comes in second with an amplitude of 16 mm. That said, you can’t go wrong with either device when you are looking for a deep-tissue massage – anything 12 mm and above is considered suitable for this purpose.

Winner: Power Massager Pro

20 mm

Force

Another category where TimTam excels is the maximum stall force of its massage guns. Both can withstand up to 75 lbs until the motors reach their limit, way above most (if not all) of the competition. Unsurprisingly, the Texas-based company is especially popular among martial artists and bodybuilders who value the super intense percussive experience.

Frequency & Speed Levels

The Power Massager Pro generates 2500 percussions per minute (ppm), while TimTam’s new flagship massage gun can reach up to 2800 ppm. What really makes the Power Massager Pro the winner in this category is the added flexibility with three different speed levels compared to just one for its competitor.

  • Level 1: 1000 ppm
  • Level 2: 2000 ppm
  • Level 3: 2800 ppm

Connectivity

There is no winner in this round of our TimTam Power Massager vs Power Massager Pro review as neither device is able to connect to your smartphone. Admittedly, TimTam is mainly targeting martial artists, bodybuilders, and other athletes who might not need help from an app. But if you would like to easily track your usage of your TimTam device, you are out of luck.

Battery

Another area where both devices lack behind the competition is their battery life. Obviously, the All New Power Massager and the Power Massager Pro are insanely powerful and need a lot of battery power to run. And while the battery life improved a bit, TimTam’s high-end device still only lasts for about an hour until you need to recharge.

Noise

Both massage guns generate about the same amount of noise at around 75 and 70 decibels, respectively. This is definitely louder than your electric toothbrush but is still very much acceptable considering how powerful both devices are. Also, note that the noise level of the Power Massager Pro drops significantly when it runs on a lower frequency.

Attachments & Accessoires

TimTam also decided to add two additional massage heads to their flagship device, something that customers will surely appreciate. Those interchangeable attachments make it easier to adjust the massage experience to your specific needs and the area of your body you are targeting next.

  • Round Rubber Tip
  • Auto Heating Tip (Power Massager Pro only)
  • Vibrating Tip (Power Massager Pro only)

As you can see, the Power Massager Pro also features a heated tip with a skin temperature sensor, something that we have not come across so far in any other competitor. Both devices come with an international charger and a travel case/bag that makes them easier to transport.

Weight & Dimensions

What was already a very lightweight device became even lighter with the introduction of the Power Massager Pro, which is a very impressive feat by the TimTam engineers. On the flip side, the Pro is just a bit bigger in size compared to the Power Massager. Therefore, we decided to end our TimTam Power Massager vs Power Massager Pro comparison with a draw.

Winner: Draw

2.2 lbs, 7.0 x 5.0 x 3.0 in

2.0 lbs, 7.9 x 6.3 x 3.0 in

Conclusion: TimTam Power Massager vs Power Massager Pro

So which one should you get – the TimTam All New Power Massager or the TimTam Power Massager Pro?

Albeit for small improvements, both devices have very similar strengths (amplitude, stall force, low weight) and weaknesses (battery life, low number of attachments). Both devices are build using antimicrobial plastics and feature a rotational arm.

What makes the Power Massager Pro our favorite TimTam massage gun is the added flexibility when it comes to the percussions per minute and the added massage heads. Both features allow you to better customize the massage experience to your needs, something that is not possible with the Power Massager.

That said, you can save half of your money when you are happy with the 2500 ppm and the single therapy tip you receive with the Power Massager. Its amplitude of 16 mm is more than enough and the impressive stall force of 75 lbs is above most, if not all competing massage guns and similar to the Pro.
